Working Principle:
A water distiller works by boiling water into water vapour, condensing it and then returning it to its liquid state. It is collected in a storage container.
The process occurs in several steps:
Municipal or well water is manually or automatically fed into the distiller unit’s boiling chamber.
A heating element in the boiling chamber heats the water until it boils.
The steam rises from the boiling chamber. Volatile contaminants (gases) are discharged through a built-in vent. Minerals and salts are retained in the boiling chamber as hard deposits or scale.
The steam enters a coiled tube (condenser), which is cooled by cool water.
Water droplets form as condensation occurs.
The distilled water is collected in a storage tank. If the unit is an automatic model, it is set to operate to fill the storage tank.

Working Principle:
The sample material is primarily crushed by the high-energy impact of grinding balls together with friction between the balls and the wall of the grinding bowl.
The grinding bowls with material and balls rotate around their own axis on a counter-rotating supporting disc. The centrifugal forces caused by the rotation of the grinding bowls and supporting discs work on the contents of the grinding bowls. The force resulting from rotation of the grinding bowl when the mill is started causes the rotating balls to rub against the inside wall of the bowl thus crushing the material.
At a certain point in time the stronger centrifugal force of the supporting disc causes the grinding material and balls to separate from the inner wall of the grinding bowl. The grinding balls cross the bowl at high speeds impacting with the grinding material on the opposite wall - creating size reduction by impact.

Working Principle:
The vertical throwing motion is overlaid with a slight circular motion which results in distribution of the sample amount over the whole sieving surface. The particles are accelerated in the vertical direction (are thrown upwards). In the air they carry out free rotations and interact with the openings in the mesh of the sieve when they fall back. If the particles are smaller than the openings, they pass through the sieve. If they are larger, they are thrown upwards again. The rotating motion while suspended increases the probability that the particles present a different orientation to the mesh when they fall back again, and thus might eventually pass through the mesh.

The objective of the wet sieve test is to obtain basic index information about the soil, that can be used to estimate strength and permeability. It is the primary form of classification for granular soils.
There are some materials which, when tested dry, produce less than accurate particle analysis results. If the material is not soluble in water and reproducible results are difficult to obtain, then wet testing may be the method required to produce accurate data. This kit offers an alternative to hand wet wash sieving using a single tall-frame wet wash sieve. It has been specifically designed for use with the Weiber wet Ro-Tap sieve shaker and a stack of standard full-height testing sieves.
Working Principle:
A gradation test is performed on a sample of aggregate in a laboratory. A typical sieve analysis involves a nested column of sieves with wire mesh cloth (screen). A representative weighed sample is poured into the top sieve which has the largest screen openings. Each lower sieve in the column has smaller openings than the one above. At the base is a round pan, called the receiver.
The column is typically placed in our wet sieve shaker. The shaker shakes the column, usually for some fixed amount of time. After the shaking is complete the material on each sieve is weighed. The weight of the sample of each sieve is then divided by the total weight to give a percentage retained on each sieve.
The size of the average particles on each sieve then being analysis to get the cut-point or specific size range captured on screen.
The results of this test are used to describe the properties of the aggregate and to see if it is appropriate for various civil engineering purposes such as selecting the appropriate aggregate for concrete mixes and asphalt mixes as well as sizing of water production well screens.

The two-bed deionizer consists of two vessels - one containing a cation-exchange resin in the hydrogen (H+) form and the other containing an anion resin in the hydroxyl (OH-) form. Working Principle:
Light from LED light source is focused on the underside or a prism element. When a liquid sample is applied to the measuring surface of the prism, some of the light is transmitted through the solution and lost, while the remaining light is reflected onto a linear array of photodiodes creating a shadow line. The refractive index is directly related to the position of the shadow line on the photodiodes. Once the position of the shadow line has been automatically determined by the instrument, the internal software will correlate the position to refractive index, or to another unit of measure related to refractive index, and display a digital readout on an LCD or LED scale.

SCIENTIFIC USAGE: When a refractometer is used, it is correct to report the result as "refractometric dried substance" (RDS). One might speak of a liquid as being 20 °Bx RDS. This is a measure of percent by weight of TOTAL dried solids and, although not technically the same as Brix degrees determined through a specific gravity method, renders an accurate measurement of sucrose content since the majority of dried solids are in fact sucrose. When an infrared Brix sensor is used, it measures the vibrational frequency of the sugar molecules, giving a Brix degrees measurement.

Spun Cartridge Filter
The micron cartridge filter is provided for fine filtration of suspended solids. Filter is good for the removal of relatively uniform sized particles throughout the body of the filter.
When to Replace a Filter Cartridge

Working Principle:
Weiber dehumidifier removes moisture from the air, thus lowering the humidity. It does this by condensing water onto a cold surface. A fan is used to speed up the process. It blows warm air onto cold metal coils, and the resulting water drips into a water collector. The resulting cold air is then passed over warm coils to bring it back to room temperature. The air is then reheated and sends back to the room.

In dry air storage our dehumidifier keeps the relative humidity at the desired level all year round regardless of the temperature. Basic dry air storage only requires an un insulated, reasonably airtight, building fitted with a dehumidifier.
